Jess "CJ" Gahagan
Writer, Graphic Designer & Overall Nerd
Educated first at New York University for Musical Theatre and then at Grand Valley State University for International Relations and Intercultural Communications (originally for hospitality and tourism management, then shifting to a communications degree with sociology focus), my experience and my training has been advantageous in the growth of my writing.
I began writing fiction recreationally as a teen, and joined with nonprofits such as The Lansing Pulse (LGBTQ+ section) as a guest writer early in my adulthood. Many of my subsequent jobs included etiquette-driven business correspondence, and eventually marketing copywriting. Though I always had an interest in graphic design, it came about unexpectedly as a result of running my own brand as well as assisting the companies I worked for.
My passion lies in creating interesting pieces that grab attention and keep the audience interested, whether graphics, fiction, or nonfiction.
I particularly enjoy writing story and settings for games of every variety, and I'm always up for a new challenge.
